Yes, all of our meter products are available to buy online. We accept payment through Sage Pay or Paypal. Once payment is received you will receive an immediate order confirmation through the email address provided at checkout.
2 Meter Box Doors
No, unfortunately meter box hinges are fixed to only one side.
Detailed fitting instructions are supplied with each product and are also downloadable from each product page. For a quick overview on how to fit a meter box door we've created a video guide.
Deliveries can be delivered anytime between 8am & 6pm but busier times of year can result in deliveries outside of these times. However, if you provide a mobile number the courier will send you a text with the date and ETA of time it will be delivered.
We don't currently offer express delivery, however if you order before 11am the order will be dispatched on the same day. Please allow for 2-3 workings days for delivery once the order is placed.
The full delivery costs will show once the items have been added to the cart with a post code. It varies depending on the number of products and the shipping methods. You can also collect from our factory in Gloucester.
To help us track your order, please fill in as much information as possible on our order tracking form. A member of our sales team will respond ASAP.
The cost of the delivery is calculated according to the weight of the order. All items are despatched by courier with the exception of the "Replacement Key for Electric Meter Boxes", which is sent via Royal Mail. See below for our carriage prices - please note all prices exclude VAT.
- Replacement Key / Locks : £1.30
- 0kg to 10kg : £8.50
- 10kg to 15kg : £8.50
- 15kg to 25kg : £11.50
- 25kg to 50kg : £23.00
- 50kg to 250kg : £35.00
You or a representative must be home to accept the delivery. We use a delivery service and cannot guarantee an exact time.
If the delivery fails twice because we are unable to hand over the parcel for signature or there is no additional information to help the carrier, the parcel will be returned to the local carrier depot and you will receive a card from them asking you to call. If you do not call or contact Meter Boxes Direct Tel: +44 (0) 1453 791616 or email@example.com , the parcel will be returned to us after 5 working days and we will have to charge you for the cost of the second delivery.
As an alternative you may provide us with details of a secure location or details of a neighbour where the package may be left in the event you will not be home to receive delivery. You must inform us during the order process in the comments section or through phone/email immediately after ordering. Please note this is entirely at your own risk and Tricel (Gloucester) Ltd. will not be liable for any losses or damages which occur as a result.
Deliveries placed Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays) before 11am are generally dispatched on the same day. If you live in mainland UK you can normally expect delivery for the following working day (Monday-Friday).
For the Scottish Highlands / Islands please allow at least 2 working days for delivery.
If an order is placed after 11am on a particular day (Monday to Friday), the order will be dispatched on the following working day.
Weekend orders will be dispatched on Mondays (excl. bank holidays).

Please be sure to include your order number and contact details so we can refund your order as quickly as possible. Please note, we are unable to refund any postage costs.
